Well, I love Darwin. I've been out on the piss for at least two nights every weekend for the last six weeks with no end in sight and my liver is slowly shriveling into a lump of jerky the size of a grapefruit.

Work is going exceedingly well, with barista assessment on Anzac day (which I should nail to the wall) and the last six weeks of my ICUS contract to go before I'm checked to line as a line pilot.

On the downside, I miss the shit out of home, friends, family and others. I've made heaps of new friends up here and I'm having a great time, but it just isn't the same sometimes.

However, rather than wallow in self-pity, I'm now going to go out for a sunday sesh with a girl from work to nip this nasty hangover right in the bud.
